Lynn Lamont, M.A.
holds a current Michigan
teaching certificate, a B. S. Degree in Speech Correction
from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania, and a Masters
Degree in Education and American Sign Language from New York
University in Manhattan. She has completed 12 years of
teaching, using American Sign Language and has been a sign
Language interpreter for five years in Michigan public
schools. In the early
1970s, Ms. Lamont was instrumental in the movement to reinstate
sign language into the public schools of the United States.
Ms. Lamont is currently
instructing live workshops in Michigan and Florida. She has
recently published the Sign Baby Sign home workshop program.
One of her live workshops has been recorded onto a DVD which
